Tile and grout cleaning in Logan, UT

Mopping shines the tile. It leaves the grout looking older every year. Grout is porous. Every time you mop, some of that dirty mop water soaks into the lines and stays there. That is why grout gets darker no matter how often you clean. We clean tile and grout in Logan and across Cache Valley.
Tile cleaning is tile cleaning. The difference here is that the owner is on most every job. He cares how the floor looks when he leaves and what you say about it after.
How we clean tile and grout
- Look first. We check the tile type, the grout, and anything cracked or loose. Ceramic and porcelain clean up well. We clean most natural stone too, like travertine and slate. We check stone on the walk-through first and use a gentler cleaner, because strong cleaners can etch it. Not every stone can take the same cleaning, so we tell you what yours can take before we start.
- Sweep. Loose dirt and grit come up first.
- Pre-treat. Cleaner goes on the grout lines and sits for a few minutes to loosen the soil.
- Scrub. The grout lines get worked with a brush. This is the part a mop never does.
- Rinse and extract. Hot water from the truck-mount rinses the floor, and the vacuum pulls the dirty water out to the van. The soil leaves the house instead of drying back into the joints.
- Dry. We wipe up and leave the floor damp, not wet.
Hard water on Cache Valley tile
Logan water is hard. On bathroom floors and around tubs and toilets, a mineral film builds up along with the dirt and dulls the tile. A lot of it comes off in the clean. Mineral stains that have soaked into the grout may lighten but not go away, and we tell you that on the job.
Grout sealing after cleaning
We seal grout. It is optional, and we can seal after cleaning. The grout has to be dry first, because sealer only goes on clean, dry grout. Sealer slows down how fast the next round of dirt soaks in. It does not make grout stain-proof, and we do not hand out sealant warranties. Ask when you book, and we will tell you whether your grout is worth sealing.
What to expect in kitchens, baths, and entries
- Kitchens, baths, entries, mudrooms, and laundry rooms are the usual floors.
- Keep shoes and pets off until the floor is dry.
- Carpet, upholstery, and tile can be done on the same visit when the schedule allows.
Before we arrive
Clear small items off the floor. Move rugs and pet bowls. Tell us about cracked tile, soft grout, a recent recaulk, or any natural stone so we can plan around it.
Honest limits
- Deeply stained or damaged grout may clean lighter without looking brand-new.
- Cracked, crumbling, or missing grout is a repair job, not a clean. We do not promise a full recaulk.
- Some mineral staining and old dye marks will not fully release. We say so on the job.

Tile cleaning questions
Is this just a stronger mop?
No. We scrub the grout lines and extract the dirty water. A mop moves the dirt around.
Do you seal after cleaning?
Yes. We can seal the grout after cleaning, once it is dry. Sealing is optional. Ask when you book.
Do you clean natural stone?
Most natural stone, yes. We check it on the walk-through first, and we do not promise results on every stone.
Can tile and carpet be done the same day?
Yes. Carpet, upholstery, and tile book online together when the schedule allows.
Is tile and grout cleaning worth it?
If your grout is darker than it used to be and mopping is not changing it, usually yes. Deeply stained or damaged grout may clean lighter without looking brand-new, and we tell you that before we start.
