Window cleaning in Logan, UT
Inside and outside glass for homes and storefronts, up to two stories. Screens, tracks, sills, and frames are part of the visit.
Window cleaning is window cleaning. What we bring is the same thing we bring to carpet: the owner on most every job, who cares how it looks when he leaves and what you say about it after.
How we clean a window
- Wash. The glass gets scrubbed with a soft washer and cleaning solution to loosen dust, bugs, pollen, and fingerprints.
- Squeegee. A clean squeegee pulls the water off in one pass at a time, so the glass dries clear instead of streaky.
- Detail. Edges and corners get wiped with a lint-free towel so there are no drips on the frame.
- Sills and frames. They get wiped down before we move to the next window.
- Screens. We take them off, wash them, and put them back.
- Tracks. The dirt and bugs get cleaned out of the window tracks.
Hard water
Cache Valley water is hard. When a sprinkler hits the same lower panes all summer, the water dries and leaves the minerals behind. That white haze does not come off with a spray bottle.
We clean it as well as glass allows, and we point out hard-water spots before we start. Here is the honest part. If minerals sit on glass long enough, they start to etch it. Etched glass is damaged, not dirty. It may look better after a clean, but it will not go fully clear. We tell you which one you have instead of charging you to scrub something that will not come back.
Turning a sprinkler head away from the windows does more to prevent it than anything we can do.
When to book
Most people book in spring after the snow, and again in fall once the sprinklers are off. A lot of people book windows with carpet or house cleaning so the place is done in one trip.
Before we arrive
- Clear sills of décor and plants where you can.
- Unlock gates and tell us about dogs.
- Tell us about second-story windows, fragile or torn screens, and newly painted trim.
Honest limits
- Etched glass and long-set mineral damage may improve without going fully clear.
- Torn, bent, or oxidized screens may still look worn after cleaning.
- We clean up to two stories. We do not do glass above that, and we do not sell coatings or streak warranties.
